Explanation: Tipped workers are paid less than minimum wage. To be tipped consistently well enough to make a decent wage, you typically have to provide great service and have a good amount of sales that was tipped off of. Neither of those conditions occur when scooping ice cream.

It is not a service where the consumer expects to tip and it’s not enough of service being provided to warrant a decent tip. The company is being cheap and trying to pass on more of the labor cost to the consumer. I hate companies that do this.
