It's a reverse image search tool that tells you if an image has already been posted to Reddit so you don't make a repost of something that's been posted a thousand times.

It isn't just about "reposts". It is also a research tool. Many times I've wanted more information about a gif or image that I found online, and then I used KD to find a post on Reddit, and then found relevant info in the comments.
