Normalization with Saudi Arabia has been all but shelved due to the war in Gaza as well as Riyadh’s demands that Israel establish a diplomatic horizon for a future Palestinian state.
However, Trump said ahead of his return to the White House last month that he hoped to use the momentum of the Gaza ceasefire deal to expand the Abraham Accords to include Saudi Arabia.

Can’t wait for the gossip that will come out of this meeting about two men who hate each-other but put on a public display of friendship.

Trump's relocation plan shows how little he understand US' limits in the ME. The Saudi Normalization will be a half-way to a 2SS,something Netanyahu is running away from like fire and would never be able to pass with his current coalition. This is a 'Hail Mary' by Netanyahu to try and ran elections with.
Anyone who still believe in Saudi Normalization after October 7th is either naive or delusional. The entire point of normalization with countries in the region was to undermine the Palestinians politically and isolate them diplomatically, which if you have to pay with a "pathway to a Palestinian state" (an unreversable action) you already pay the price and yield none of the reward.
People talk about conceptions, this is a conception. Israel only stand to lose from normalization with Saudi Arabia in the current political climate and with a new 4 polar ME (Israel,Iran,Turkey,Saudi Arabia) Israel would benefit much more from fortifying the borders than try to form a wall against Iran which is already not relevant after the weakening of the Shia axis and specifically the failure of the proxy doctrine.
Trump's obsession with Saudi Normalization will fade quickly,as the trade wars he began will probably occupy his admin more than the ME. It will return at the end of his admin, trying to create a diplomatic legacy.
The diplomatic holy grail for Israel now should be a non-aggerssion pact with Syria and helping the Lebanese government in rooting Hizballah from power (including not playing into Hizballah's provocations to justify themselves in the Lebanese public). Normalization with Saudi Arabia would be a pleasant surprise but the price will be too heavy for the Israeli public to accept and especially for the political system as it is now.

After a month in office and seeing how Trump is shoving leaders around it looks like Bibi made the right move with the ceasefire. You don't say no to a tantrum who's holding all the keys. You tell him that's he's right and the best and yep, brilliant idea until he's distracted by the next shiny thing.
We tend to overlook how the USA is the loan superpower in the world. USA being USA doesn't really realize it themselves. When push comes to shove no one can really push back if USA decides to do something. Watch Canada and Mexico in the next week. They're all huff and bluster now. It's not going to end how they think it will.
