Yes.

Absolutely. Even the ums, errs, pauses, grammatical ticks, "you knows," deep breaths... and I'm trying to include gestures too. But it's hard.

You can even convey *tone of voice* using formatting!

How many of them actually want to type the answers by themselves? Do you give them options like: A. you type the answers B. I type the anwers C. we switch after a bunch of questions

My favorite for formatting was with Norm Macdonald, I could practically hear him dictating to you.

That is very much appreciated. I loved how Sean Bean used a lot of "innit". Totally heard his voice in my head.

I heard Sean Bean speaking in every response of his AMA.

I love that you do this! It really brings out their personality in their answers.

I never realized how different spoken speech is to written until I transcribed some interviews for my brother (he's a journalist). It can be very different. People often do not speak in whole sentences. They will start several different sentences they don't finish while trying to express a thought, and the resultant communication is conveyed through all of that, but how to transcribe it? It may not be as clear written down, though a listener would have no problems understanding it. It's fascinating in a way.

I *so* wish that more people fully **understood** this. Thank you for saying it! I *really* wish more people would text in this manner, though. I wonder how many breakups have happened due to someone "slackin' on they gramma'.." Sigh.

Why is it that *every time I use formatting* somebody ignores my debate/logic/reason, instead becoming a **complete** & **utter** "formatting is tacky" asshole?

Any clue?

Anybody?^Bueler?

You did a great job with the Sean Bean one, it was impossible not to read all of the responses in his voice.

So are you responsible for every single one of Omar Epps' comments starting with "Haha! ...."

Support the sarcastic font movement.

Question: Did you help Eli Manning come up with that original Nintendo Zelda response?

You should record the interview and post it after the AMA.

How would you convey sarcasm without the "/s" tag?
