I've been having major problems with my 2 week old phone since the most recent update. Can't even open a website, and apparently, I'm not alone:

I started having random WiFi issues in the last week on Pixel 8 Pro. No other devices having issues.

Yeah, there are sources on the web saying there are issues. Probably bad update. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Occasional destructive updates are part of Pixel ownership. At least it's not the modem itself on newer models.

Mine constantly disconnects and also speed tests lower than my gf's pixel 7 even when connected to the same AP, frequency, server and same location.

I have Pixel 8, recently having issues loading many apps, launching camera after seeing recently opened photos and many more. All issues disappears once I restart my phone. I restart my phone every day at least once if not more. It is annoying

Oddly enough, I have Google Nest Pro. Both P8Pro and P9Pro have connection issues

Have you tried resetting the phone?

I've noticed my WiFi signal has been weaker since the update. I just thought it was the placement of my router, but even moving it, no change. I don't outright lose it though.

The P8P has a defect where you will eventually lose wifi and Bluetooth capability altogether. There are dozens of posts about it in this subreddit and I have a buddy with the issue. This is independent of any recent update.

I just ordered a P8P to replace my beloved 4a (that worked perfectly fine until the recent update), wtf I feel like there's no winning with phones anymore

Honestly don't get how everyone is always having issues. Been flawless since getting it a year ago.

Never had issues with my P8P’s WiFi - always on the latest version and updated to the latest monthly too.

My P8P has set up private DNS, always on VPN, and I go on at least 4 or 5 different WiFi networks of different brands. Never a problem. WiFi at work (UniFi, Meraki, Aruba), home (Synology & Netgear), hotels (unknown or forget or don’t care).

Maybe an issue with DNS, VPN, or other software or services that may be going bad or is connected to a bad instance? Also try the cliche thing of resetting your network settings and or deleting and re-adding your WiFi. This will work more often than I’m willing to admit.

My Pixel 7 doesn't connect to the 6ghz signal unless I restart the device. And then stops working after I switch.

And I figured that out because a Nexus user told me a similar issue he had with his WiFi got fixed that way

I'm on a P9PXL, so I'm safe (thankfully). Though, coming from a software development background, I am a bit confused as to how this wasn't spotted during testing that I hope they do before releasing these updates to the masses.

I've had the exact opposite experience.

I was at my parents' house in May and in September, which is configured with 3 hard-wired Google Wi-Fi points (the first generation, all wired to gig switches). Both times I had major difficulties with handoffs to the extent that I had to reset my phone's Wi-Fi when moving from room to room.

When I was there again in December I had no issues whatsoever. FWIW, I don't know if this was a Pixel or Google Wi-Fi issue.
