View submission: Thoughts on trump’s economy?
essentially what it comes down to. which, in my personal instance, blows my mind because their kid is the… total opposite. idk how they raised a kid polar opposite to that.

I have young kids so I actually think about this a lot. I've noticed that no matter what your ideology is, if you push it really hard on your children and you ignore the hypocrisy in your own ideologies, those kids will question those hypocrisies and if they can't find the answer that satisfies them they will run hard from your imposed world view.
Their child clearly saw how selfish they were and decided they did not want to be like that.
