View submission: Thoughts on trump’s economy?
We curbed inflation by raising interest rates, because it wasn't transitory.

This again.
I think you have a different definition of what constitutes transitory than what most people with ECON 101 knowledge have.
The idea that we were going to dump trillions to keep the economy on life support and magically think nothing was going to happen and we weren't going to do anything beyond that is partisan nonsense.
In economics, we call this opportunity cost. You give trillions in stimulus checks to keep the economy on life support in the short term. Once you make it past the short term, then you take corrective actions to rebalance.
Inflation was transitory. We did not become Zimbabwe or Argentina or Venezuela or Japan. Stop pushing a partisan agenda and acknowledge reality.
