This guy is so deep in the closet he’s in Narnia.
Edit: right, I did not intend to create controversy, here. I’m just curious as to why someone who isn’t being ostracized or attacked (like the LGBTQ+ community has been for time immemorial) would feel the need to make a declaration like this, unless they felt somehow threatened. Like, say, their deepest secret were in danger of being revealed, even to themselves.
Either this person is denying their true identity, or they are being an ignorant, self-important asshat with no perspective of the struggles of other people. No one is attacking the straights. If they feel threatened, it’s simply their own lack of empathy and blindness to the bigger picture.
I am not accusing anyone of being gay, as that would mean I find something wrong with being gay, which I do not. I’m simply trying to decipher the reason for this odd, unnecessary declaration.

Is it not somewhat ironic to be literally calling someone homosexual in this manner? I get the hate for the post and all that, but how is this supposed to be the progressive take? Isn’t this a step backwards?
Edit: thanks to the few who upvoted this comment, but fuck me is it depressing how much traction and other people with the same mindset get? Can we not agree this is just toxic as fuck?

Your points are solid, but I think you're missing the fact that the SuperStraight label is just a dog whistle for being transphobic. "I'm not a bigot, it's my sexuality", as if 99% these people have ever actually had a trans person try to date them.

I dunno, I personally have been attacked for being straight. Oh not physically or repressed in any way for it, but I have been insulted and called some pretty hateful names because I don't like women sexually. I'm obviously homophobic because I don't find women, or people with feminine typical characteristics, attractive. I'm obviously some horrible piece of garbage, even though I'm literally their ally and fight for their rights, but no I'm shoved into the group of straights that obviously want to kill them all. Why is it all of a sudden some horrible thing that I don't find a person attractive! I don't force them to have sex or date someone they aren't attracted to, just seems like they are driving people away who only want to help them by this attitude.
