I really don't like this. Reddit is a platform about discussion where the best opinion is rewarded. Adding a status symbol in each community defeats the whole purpose and might result in high-brick users getting upvoted more than low-brick users.
In addition, adding gifs and emotes defeats literally the entire point of reddit being a discussion. If you are too lazy to actually write a response to a post, you shouldn't respond. Now the top comment on every post is going to be an overused and reposted gif.
All these features do is make reddit more like twitter. If I wanted to use twitter, I'd use twitter.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The sub is basically now an advertisment to those who don't use reddit but play FNBR and want to be introduced to the site with the ''cool and funky'' features that no other sub has.
Mostly everyone here has come from either Twitter and/or Instagram (or any similar site to those). Whoever is behind these so called ''features'' is taking advantage of the younger audience with the monetization strategies while they are blindly accepting into them because of ''muh coloured username'' or the usage of gifs; and the recent brick dealio, which I can't even bother to start reading.
Also, notice how the ''negative'' comments like ours get downvoted to oblivion because it's the truth? Ain't that funny. /u/WhyAmIAFanOfThisTeam [comment] (https://nm.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/gj8tm1/introducing_rfortnitebr_bricks/fqjc7i2/[1]) is also pretty down the comment list which I noticed overtime becoming worse. What a mess.

That is great feedback. Gifs and emotes have been a part of the subreddit for almost a year now, so while it isn't new, it will likely see more use with this new system.

Should the community find GIFs obnoxious, such posts won’t make it to the top.
Right now, we are not rewarded for our contributions to Reddit in any meaningful sense, but imagine a future in which each post has realisable value (i.e. bricks having monetary value).
