I’m looking to move to Edinburgh and need recommendations of livery yards to keep my horse. As well as a general price scale expected.
Would be DIY or part livery!
Thanks

According to the googles, there's only one IN Edinburgh.
Plenty in the counties around the city. Which part of the city are you moving to?

Depends a lot on where you're planning to move to, what transport you have and how far you want to go.
Theres only a couple that do turnout 24/7.
Prices range from £35 a week to £100 a week for DIY or part. I'm at one for £35 which includes basic daily checks of water, food, fencing, unlimited hay, straw, stable. Very good hacking, staff available for minor ad hoc tasks (feed horse antibiotics in the morning), access to two schools but poor surfaces and jumping field in summer. Pm me if you want more specifics.

They moved their horse there after they had problems with the previous place. Vogrie Country park is just down the road, you can stay out in Newtongrange or Gorebridge and live a bit cheaper than the city centre with an easy train into the city when you need.

In Edinburgh? Nothing (aside from Tower Farm, which I wouldn't touch with a bargepole).. East Lothian is probably your best bet. I have a positive experience of Harelaw, and have a friend at Temple Farm, but there are plenty others to check out roundabouts. It all rather depends on distance vs cost, I think you're going to have to just ring round.

Could look at Lasswade. It's pretty run down but the horses are always well looked after.
