They can get unemployment if they say theyre the only caregiver. People who don’t do literally anything in their power to gain unemployment are just letting them win. Nobody should work right now until demands are met and unions are created.

It infuriates me the way essential workers are being held up as heroes - they're just people trying to survive. They're being forced to risk their lives in a way they never signed up for and don't deserve to endure while being shoved in a box marked "that's what heroes do" and forgotten by people who now feel virtuous for their thoughts and prayers. That's what *heroes* do, these people are civilian victims of the system and deserve to be protected both *by* and *from* that system.

Everyone gets unemployment automatically. There is no excuse except the ones you're making up.
