Exactly what the ownership wants so they can get out of a no gambling state. It’s the right course of action as fans, but I hate that it’s exactly what those greedy fucks want too.

Yeah, unless

1. Las Vegas gets a team in the 2027-2028 expansion

2. Adam Silver decides it’s illogical to leave the 4th largest media market for the 40th largest since their ratings have been on a downward trend. I guess this kind of gives Dallas leverage but idk.

*Edit:** To add on, I’m definitely in the minority, but I don’t think the Adelson’s have plans of moving the Mavs to Vegas. Unless they really didn’t know that they had an opportunity to have a team there in a couple of years.

I genuinely think this greedy family wants to tap into a new space and control the TX gambling market if it ever comes to fruition before anyone else gets the chance to eat up the market. I think one of the suburbs still remain as Dallas biggest threat. More specifically Irving where they own 260 aces already.
