We've had a few weeks of memes now, and it's actually not been that bad.
But one thing I noticed that could be improved is to make a difference between user created content, and copy and pasted memes.
There's been a few memes that were just re-uploading someone else's work, took 0 effort, and are earning as much as someone who created an original meme.
Encourage original content creation on the sub, and make it more fair for the level of effort involved.
The current limit is 4 memes. This would create a separate limit for OC and non-OC, and an increase to 6 memes total in the top 50.
OC is anything a user created themselves. Even if they used a template and typed in their own text, or altered any significant element.
Non-OC is where a user simply re-uploaded an existing meme, with little to no significant alterations that would make it its own new meme.
It will be primarily self enforced by users.
But users who abuse this can be reported, and the mods can take appropriate action on the content, account, or distribution.

It looks like this post might be a governance proposal. You are encouraged to use this subreddit to brainstorm and refine your ideas, but please note that when your idea is finalized, you will need to fill out this form[1] for your idea to be considered for a formal governance poll.

I’m confused. Aren’t memes not allowed on the main sub and not subject to rewards?
