tldr; Senator Cynthia Lummis has demanded answers from the US Marshals Service regarding their Bitcoin holdings after they missed a deadline to respond. The Marshals seized over 69,000 Bitcoins from Silk Road, selling most at low prices, missing out on nearly $19 billion in potential gains. Lummis is advocating for a national Bitcoin reserve and has introduced legislation for the US to acquire 200,000 Bitcoins annually. The Marshals have not publicly responded, but a private briefing is reportedly planned. Lummis is pushing for transparency and better management of seized digital assets.

Time for the Marshalls to be rounded up if they don't comply.

In 2017, the government auctioned off 140,000 of those Silk Road Bitcoins at a bargain price of $330 each. At today’s prices, those same coins are worth over $100,000 each.

Who got those bitcoin? That's only 46 million , any billionaire picked them up?

If a federal employee refuses to respond to a legit inquiry, such as this, from a senator leading an oversight committee, they should go directly to jail.
