I’ve had over 10 years to accumulate BTC but instead I wasted it on shit coins and now dead alt coins. I could have been rich beyond dreams. Bought my first 4 BTC in 2013. Fuck I’m stupid

I'm really curious how many of these actually go anywhere. I like to be hopeful, but it's so easy to imagine that every single state proposing these bills isn't able to get anything passed.

While these are great I would like to see the probability of any of these state proposals passing because I get the sense there's a near 0 probability.

A few US States are probably holding a decent amount of BTC already in deep storage. Some government employees own cryptocurrencies that DCA. The military.

Via GPT:

"Missouri Senate Bill 614, introduced on January 23, 2025, proposes new provisions relating to digital assets. While the specific details of the bill are not fully outlined in the available summaries, there are indications that it may allow the state to allocate up to 10% of public funds into digital assets such as Bitcoin.

Given that Missouri’s state budget for Fiscal Year 2025 is approximately $53.7 billion, a 10% allocation would amount to about $5.37 billion. However, it’s important to note that the bill is still in the early stages of the legislative process, and the exact provisions and potential allocations are subject to change as it moves through the Senate.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend consulting official Missouri legislative resources or contacting a state representative."

Nearly all states are going for it anyways...

Now just need a Strategic Crypto Reserve to pass the Congress and hopefully Trump does that while he has the Trifecta.

quantum computing = no bitcoin wallet is safe... I wonder if anything will be done by the time that's possible to exploit.
