If Australia saved cricket in 2023, why is it dying again? Is he stupid?

I gotta give something to Santner. He has lead his team well and bowled his ass off to get breakthroughs. He's a natural leader.

Congratulations to India. They are truly the best whiteball side ATM and by a distance. I hope nobody undermines their achievements.

Very sad to see that England was in such a state just 2-3 years before. Hopefully they bounce.

It will be pretty funny if Rohit loses his 14th(?) toss in a row.

"The toss is just formality to check if Pakistan will lose by runs or by wickets"

~Sehwag before the toss of CT17 final

Anyone see the 20 minute interview with Santner? There was a crazy frame shot of the interviewer with some guy's elbow in the shot and also you could see up the poor woman's nose. I get that it's over a screen but still

Sneaky stat alert!

I just realized - **Sehwag (edit: and Yuvraj thanks** u/kaala_bhairava **) might be the** ***first*** **men's player to win all three limited over ICC Trophies.**

2002 Champions Trophy (shared, but still counts)

2007 World T20

2011 CWC

My logic:

- When Sehwag & Yuvi won the 2011 CWC, they won all three. I don't think any Indian played in all three other than him (Sachin wasn't in T20, Gambhir wasn't in CT, Dhoni wasn't in 2002, I don't think there's anybody else)

- No Australian could have beat them to that because Australia wouldn't win the T20 WC until 2021.

- No Srilankan would beat them to that because they didn't win their T20 WC until 2014.

- No WI player would beat them to that because all players from the CWC victories were retired when they won the T20 WC and Champions Trophies

- No Pak player would beat them to that because Pak didn't win the CT until 2017

- No Eng player would beat them to that because no CWC till 2019

- No other teams have won the ODI CWC

KL Rahul won the final but Anushka Sharma got more coverage than him after the final 🤷‍♂️. Yeah Kohli loves his wife and his wife loves him but FFS sometimes put the camera on the actual performers

KL admitting that he was shitting himself at the end has to be the moment of this CT for me. What a redemption arc for him, long may it continue.

One year since Jimmy’s 700, and I’m still fuming.

Key and Baz giving him the tap on the shoulder still doesn’t sit right. He earned the right to go out on his own terms.

Bazball felt like a revolution in 2022, but reality is hitting hard. The bowling attack isn’t the same without Jimmy, and the team just isn’t as ruthless as it once was. Makes you wonder, was there really a plan, or did they just want to shake things up for the sake of it?

Celebrations around me are very underwhelming. It was 10x more last year after t20 wc win. Is it because CT not as revered as odi & t20 wc here in India?

Hot take: West Indies could've put up a good fight in Dubai if they picked Akeal Hossen, Gudakesh Motie, Rahkeem Cornwall and Sinclair/Chase.

Found an opinion piece titled "How I went from cricket fanatic to cricket apathetic " . Written by member of Indian assembly.

Reading the article,it is only about writer's own cricketing "achievements" coupled with few barbs at the ipl. No justifying the title ,just saying will not brood on it. Just the state of all the media really.

With Canada & Namibia having a tied ODI, there are now 20 sides who've tied at least once.

Guess the team at the top (it's not that hard honestly).
