Hello there! Less than a month ago, we launched Community Funds Giving[1], a program running through the end of this year. We're excited to showcase the incredible fundraising efforts led by our moderators so far.
ICYMI, Reddit’s Community Funds program[2] offers donation matching for your community-led fundraisers. Community Funds Giving runs through the end of 2024, at which point we’ll post a wrap-up highlighting how communities rallied to support the causes they’re passionate about. If you want to be included in the wrap-up, please make sure your application is in by December 1st. And this year, it’s easier than ever for you to host a fundraiser matching event. You focus on tapping into your community to raise money, and we’ll work behind the scenes to support your efforts. After your application is approved and your fundraiser launches, Reddit will match up to US$20,000 of eligible donations to your community's fundraiser. #Community Funds Giving Participants Here are the fundraisers that are up and running so far. Apply now[3] to join this roster of communities supporting causes that are meaningful to them. We have more participants that haven’t posted their fundraisers yet, and we’ll add them to the list as they share their posts!

I love the idea of community funds, but as always countries in South East Asia are excluded T_T. Reddit is growing in terms of popularity among SEA users e.g. there are millions of users in SEA country subs alone.

Does it still require 3+ months notice in advance, or has that been shortened?

I have a question about community funds. I wanted to apply for community funds to help organize a fundraiser for RAVE Foundation[1] (501c-3) to building community soccer fields, through our r/soundersfc supporters subreddit. My concern is about the verbiage "intend to explicitly promote another company, website, or outside project."[2]

This charity is heavily sponsored by Seattle Sounders FC, though there is no explicit promotion. How would this charity be received by reddit community funds?

Love Reddit does this. Interested but not for this year… this time of year there are so many appeals from non profits.
So spring around USA irs refund time is a thought and matching is a motivation, to me irl at least!
remind me if possible ;)
