Take some books and magazines in. I used to drop off my old magazines, newspapers, books etc when I walked past. They’ll really appreciate it.

Those big illustrated books you used to get get in the library could be good, like Battleships of the German Fleet 1848-1945, Aircraft of WWII etc..
