Confession time... I did this once myself as a kid... I read the instructions on the box of Corn Flakes that said something like "lovely with orange juice in the morning". So i poured the orange juice in to the bowl with the Corn Flakes instead of milk - orrible!!!

Only afterwards did i realise that they probably meant "lovely with orange juice (on the side, in a glass you moron!)".

My soul feels better having fessed this up after many decades 😂

Once as a kid we ran out of milk so I had my cornflakes like this... They were... edible..? Might have been better if the juice was nice, and chilled, rather than room temperature, cheapo supermarket long-life stuff...

Surprisingly, honey but cornflakes inside hot pitta bread are actually nice - they go sort of sticky and almost caramely.

My kidlets usually get a dollop of yoghurt with their cereal if that's  what they really want, we've run out of milk, and there isn't time before school to nip to the Co-op for some. If anything, they seem to like it more than regular milk... Although having the 6 year old anxiously ask you if you're poor because a couple of times a year, the frozen milk doesn't defrost overnight, or I ask the husband if he wants me to pop to the Co-op to pick some up in the evening, he says he'll do a big shop so not to worry, and then bedtime stories overrun/he falls asleep so can't pop to Aldi (I get chronic migraines so can't always drive safely) is *interesting*...
