View submission: Anyone else not ever use TikTok whatsoever?

It’s been hard for me to keep up with so much different social media platforms. I knew I was set in my ways when I saw spooky ghost app and dancing videos, which I didn’t realize were two entirely different apps. No one in my age bracket was using it so, I never made the switch. Even starting Reddit was a huge leap out of my comfort zone for me. I respect that TikTok was huge enough to be a platform for not just misinformation (of which I’m sure there was a lot) but useful info too, but I hate how it became a tool for politicians to exploit for votes.

I kinda felt that way. I was already starting to get over Facebook when all the others started popping up and I really just didn't want more of that.

I only came across reddit because I was looking for short horror stories in general and that got me hooked on a few subs

With so many social media platforms, it's hard to keep up. TikTok has been huge, and while it's great that it's been used to share useful information, it's also frustrating how it's become a tool for political manipulation.
