I'm craving cake soo bad but my tastes buds want something new, I don't know! Maybe confetti? I kind of avoided it as a kid. I usually just had chocolate or vanilla. Tried red velvet and despite the popular hatred for it, I actually kinda liked it!

When it comes to cake I absolutely love a good lemon cake with a simple sugar glaze đŸ˜‹

My favorite is chocolate cake with a peanut butter frosting. You could also try a carrot cake.

Confetti is a flavour?

I'm a sucker for a cherry madeira, peraonally, but I also appreciate a moist carrot cake with cream cheese topping

I recommend "Ledeni vjetar" if you like creamy cakes with fruit! You can put any fruit or berries in it and it'll taste amazing. It's a Croatian cake with fruit and in literal translation it means "icy wind" or "cold wind". You can find recipes online by searching "ledeni vjetar cake" or "ledeni vjetar torta" in Croatian. Then you translate the site in English and you should be good :)

It's quite simple, especially if you don't make the cake (sponge cake or whatever it's called) layers on your own, but buy vanilla ones in the store! It's done super fast, no baking required, and you just cool it in the fridge. It's my favorite cake and imo a must try :D

Edit: And also, red velvet with cream cheese frosting is a very close runner-up for me. Maybe it's because I'm from the South or something, but it's always seemed to be pretty popular as far as I can tell.

Since my dietary needs changed, I'm into banana cake--sometimes with enough carob added to make it fudgey, brownie-like.

I am not a cake person with the exception of Swedish Princess cake. You don't have to do all that like the recipes say, but its almond sponge, raspberry jam and raspberries, and whipped frosting. If you're feeling fancy you can make the cream but if you want something simple almond and raspberry is such a delicious combo

Funfetti is my all time favorite cake flavor. I'd take a funfetti cake with my mom's cannoli buttercream filling. So, so good.

I like a lime cheesecake, if that isn't cheating. Or forgo cake and do cherry-raspberry pie. But if it must be actually cake a nice lemon cake is nice.

when i could safely eat it, the best bday cake was/is from Carvel.

the have been making ice cream cakes possibly longer than ive been alive.

The original cake was two layers of ice cream, vanilla and chocolate. the layers of ice cream get divided by a thin layer of crunchies. and an icing but not exactly like a "cake" icing. sorry my bodys reaction to milk forced me to stop eating these cakes in my teens.

i like basic cakes. vanilla or chocolate with opposite icing. vanilla with chocolate icing is typically a thumbs up from me most times.

our grandmother would make us, her grandkids a cake she called a 1-2-3-4 cake (it was the cake mix volumes of the ingredients of the cake) baked in a bundt(?) cake pan. and that cake had a powdered pudding and whip cream mix that half the milk was used in the mix. and was whipped by her hands into a delicious chocolate/whip cream kind of thicker and stronger(?) chocolate whip cream. and the birthday kid always got the "extra" whip cream. our cousin never made a digital copy of our grandmothers recipes (or she did and my part of the family never got the files) and my dumbass never checked in with her to try to get the recipes...

1. Italian fruit cake. It has strawberrys, peaches and lot of whipped cream. It's very popular.

2. Chocolate with a pudding mix in it to keep it moist.

3. Lemon cake glazed with lemon juice and confectionary sugar.

4. Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

5. Spice cake with a couple handfuls of cranberries. They pop when the cake bakes. Great for the holidays. Spots of red and flavor.

6. Rum cake. Nice change of pace.

My fave is a chocolate truffle cake. It’s fudge on the outside and soft chocolate mousse on the inside (I think that’s what it’s called). It’s just chocolate overload but the best kind.
