Okay, I now have a desire to know what a typical day of eating looks like in the Netherlands! 😅
I'm in the US southern states, and my meals could be 2 "cold" ones and one "hot" one, depending on what time of year and/or what I'm doing that day. However, I think it would be more accurate that I eat two meals that have been cooked per day, on average.

The answer is lots of bread. And not fancy bread, literally slices of fluffy, tall loaf bread. You’re allowed 1 and only 1 item on your bread, plus a thin layer of either butter or margarine. More than 1 item (both cheese and meat, for example) and it becomes too fancy. This is the typical lunch, and sometimes also breakfast.
