Yes. Any altar that you put your effort and care into is sufficient. Even without an altar by living and leading by example you yourself emulate an altar.

This is gorgeous! Consider some wall art above the center for added framing. Overall it’s done very well, I hope this altar brings you needed peace and space for good practice

Does it reflect your faith and gratitude?

It's a beautiful altar and I rejoice in the immeasurable merit you have generated. Thank you for showing us a picture of your altar and for allowing us to rejoice in it!

p.s. sorry about some of the other unfriendly comments in this thread.

It doesn't matter. Don't get caught up in attachments friend. As you walk the path you'll find, there are no material things that matter. It all holds you down.

Were not praising anything or praying to anything.

We are just working on waking up.

Asking if a Buddhist alter is sufficient is the least Buddhist thing I’ve heard today

The most beautiful thing about this altar is that it looks like you are actually using it. I have seen very expensive alters with dust on them. But this looks one like you are actually practicing the Dharma. Therefore, it is the most beautiful altar in the world.

Does it give you spiritual peace and calmness? If yes, then it is.

An altar is only worth as much, as you like it. An altar could contain the best placement of objects, the best atmosphere etc. and still fail at giving someone the correct headspace for a truly ideal meditation. While for others, a silent moment under a tree is altar enough.

Tldr, it does not matter if WE think if the altar is sufficient, do you think it is? If so, it is. If you think it's missing something, then it is.

All is sufficient if you find it so.

If it supports your practice, than it is more than sufficient.

It's wonderful, unfortunately here in Brazil because it's not such a popular religion, Buddhist accessories end up being very expensive, a simple statue here in my city usually costs 50-100 reais
