View submission: Why Buddhism?
I also saw that most religions that originated from india don't claim to be the "only" religion that leads to the truth. Instead they claim to be the "preferable truth" or the "more correct truth".

You are correct.
Most religions in India do not claim to be the only religion. While they often claim to have the “complete truth” or as you put the “the more correct truth”, the religions often praises other religion for areas they view them to be rather good at ( normally not entering complete truth arena but more in practice etc.. ). Jains, Buddhist and Brahmins for example may not agree with each other doctrinally but will often take practices ( then acknowledge they took it ) from the other religion because it is good and it works.
This even goes till the modern day period in India between the major Hindu religions. Yes each one claims that their Supreme God is supreme but acknowledges the other side has got something right or may be doing something in a better way.
Heck as a Buddhist who worships Tara I met a few devout Hindus who works in IT who sees my office altar and while a few devout Shaivites ask why do I not add a Shiva to my altar they acknowledge that as Buddhists who are much better at having an egalitarian society and all who worships Tara to have a kind mother not so bound to rites and rituals watching over us.
