Sorry. It was the tower in Guangxiao temple in Canton. I screwed up the characters. 🤭

I used to visit it often. I have photos of the old and new ones somewhere. The old one was leaning slightly in a non-dangerous way. Charming. I think this was the temple where Master Huineng spoke the moving flag koan.

Yes, Guangxiao is said to be where Hui Neng tonsured (hence the "Hair Pagoda") and where the flag discussion took place. They also claim that Bodhidharma washed his bowl (the Buddha's bowl) in a well there. And I love their folksy Heng and Ha!

I've been there maybe a half-dozen times, walking there from Liurongsi. This photo is from 2010. Would you know if it's the old one or the new one? I just examined the original closely and can't tell if I'm looking at plaster over brick or just concrete!
