I was thinking about getting an expression pedal to try this out. I want to see if I could get some whammy pedal style sounds. Anyone tried this?

Weekend project. I'd like to make a video about all the crazy stuff you can do with an expression pedal in the V3 update.

I can try this out in a couple of days when I get home if nobody has.

Edit: I tried. It sounds bad because the transition between the octaves is instant, so you can hear the steps.

Yeah, tried it. It works. Listen to the beginning of the Lonely boy by Balck keys, was able to make similar effect of gradually falling an octave lower.

I have tried this, I thought I could get the whammy style sound I get in my MS-3 with an expression pedal. That's Pedal Bend - the pitch shift just steps through the discreet pitches, not the arbitrary tones that sound like a whammy. It's nothing close to a whammy effect sadly. If anyone gets a usable whammy-style sound out of the katana with an expression pedal, would love to see this too if I'm mistaken, but I spent some time trying to make it happen.

I have, it’s crap. Doesn’t work well.
