In my previous post, I received a comment asking: *Is it worth it to DCA into Bitcoin if I only have a hundred bucks?* Or, more generally, *Is it worth it if I only have a little bit of money?* The answer, without a doubt, is **YES**.
Many people believe they need to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars to become wealthy, but that’s simply not true.
The compounding effect of Bitcoin can turn a **$25-per-week** investment, with an average return of **40% per year**, into **$2 million** over **20 years**. Most people want wealth *tomorrow*, but money doesn’t work that way. However, you can use **time** to your advantage. Time will pass whether we like it or not—so why not let it work for you?
Some of us may get lucky and stumble into a fortune, while others will have to rely on time and persistence to build wealth. The good news is that **time and compounding returns work for everyone** and can serve as your financial *insurance policy*. Imagine investing **just $10 to $25 per week** into Bitcoin while going about your life. Even if you never land a high-paying job or make big financial moves, you could still retire with **millions in the bank**. That, my friends, is the power of Bitcoin.
Let’s model this out. Bitcoin has historically returned **80–100% per year**, which is insane compared to the **S&P 500’s 7–10% average return**. For simplicity, we’ll assume Bitcoin grows at a **40% annual rate**:
✅ **$10/Week for 10 Years (2025–2034):**
✅ **$25/Week for 10 Years (2025–2034):**
These returns would be **life-changing** for anyone. You could do **everything wrong** financially and still end up with a **few million dollars**—all from investing just **$10 to $25 per week**. The only thing required is a **bare minimum level of discipline** to consistently save in Bitcoin.
----------Here is the detailed breakdown of the math------------------------
Scenario 1: $10 per Week for 10 Years (2025–2034), Then 20-Year TimelineFirst 10 Years (2025–2034):
Full 20 Years (2025–2044):
Scenario 2: $25 per Week for 10 Years (2025–2034), Then 20-Year TimelineFirst 10 Years (2025–2034):
Full 20 Years (2025–2044):

All good and well, but have you done the math on what 1btc would cost in 20 years then ?😂

I’ll tell you why this math is irrelevant over a fixed period of time, let’s say for argument sake you put in the $25 weekly and all goes good and well for 15 years with all positive returns. Your 16th year is -72.1% like we had in 2018. Now you’re screwed

Do you think it's best to split the investment weekly? Let's say I would invest the 100$ montly in 1 go. Should I be doing this weekly instead of 1 go?

OP, I'll use this example to make the case for Bitcoin to my neighbors who do save a bit but otherwise are of very modest means.

That would be a mkt cap of 300 trillion for Bitcoin, doesn't seem realistic considering that this is the current total global debt and I don't think there is any asset at this level
