Toyota of North Austin, asked for a test drive of 2023 Rav4 and they confirmed only for us to arrive and test drive 2021. Slapped 9k markup, and had the audacity to call some hire up who made a whole speech about good resale value. When asked about test driving a camry or corolla seller made some remarks about not knowing which car we buying, which is silly as I told before hand that we are trying to decide on which toyota form factor we want and driving characteristics. Purchased honda in leander, and happy since then

They gave me major attitude when I asked why their rav 4 markup was fairly higher than the other dealerships and told me if I cared so much about a few thousand dollars I shouldn’t be looking at the car. Ended up buying one from Round Rock.

I also had a terrible experience there. They don’t listen to me *at all*, pressured me to buy an absolute ripoff of a vehicle, then after I left they not only spammed my phone with texts for months after, but my email, too, and not just from them, from other Toyota dealers. I only looked there and the Honda dealer I bought from (First Texas Honda, who I highly recommend), so I know absolutely it was them who shared my info with every Toyota dealer in Texas.

That Toyota dealership is awful. But Austin Subaru is at the other end of the spectrum. Impeccable customer service in every department, from sales, to accessories, to service, and even financing.

I always thought it was strange that Fargo was filmed many years prior to the murder for hire thing at Charles Maund.

I have to agree about this dealership. They try really hard not to sell cards by providing shitty service. I was ready to buy and the salesman was didn’t even try to sell the car. He gave me the line that if I didn’t buy it, then someone else will. So I didn’t buy it. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

100%. Sales guy at Toyota of North Austin (was Charles Maund at the time) gave me a very "You're a woman, you don't know what you want, just buy what I tell you to buy" vibe. Also insisted nobody could get the car I wanted (a manual Tacoma). Another dealership did, so I bought there.
A few weeks later he called my phone drunk in the middle of the night and left a voicemail. Never ever ever going there again.
