We’ve had several bad experiences at Kerbey Lane stack up over the past few months. Our last visit was the end of for us. We’ll never return.

Once had our waitress walk right out the door get in her car and drive away, my father quietly whispered “was it because I asked for more lemons?”

The absolute plummet in quality of kerbey lane from 15-20 years ago to now is astounding. It used to be a must go brunch stop with great service and food. Now it’s shit service and overcooked eggs

Honestly can't understand why they're so crowded on weekends. Their food has always been mediocre and service shitty. This is what I remember 25 years ago and I can only assume it's the newcomers who get tricked. The only thing great about Kerbey Lane back in the day was that it was open til 2 am, maybe it was even 24 hours. It was alright for something to eat middle of the night hammered.

It wasn't just the mediocre food?

The server for the table behind us asked her poor customers, "how was your Thanksgiving?" And before they could answer, she went into a very long monologue about her relationship with her mother and how her brother has cancer. Then she was like "k bye!" She then dropped my husband's burger, and he had to wait 45 minutes for it to come out.
Kerbey Lane and their perpetually aloof staff will always hold a place in my heart.

Which location? Most kerbey lane experiences I’ve had are lovely but one time my friend and I went to the one on South Lamar and a waiter scoffed at my friend for asking for a milk substitution???? As if that isn’t normal??🤨

I had a bad experience at Kirby just last weekend, and not the first time. I only went because my friend wanted to try it.
I swear, they must be require employees to be stoned before they can punch in.

It was seeing a roach run across a tray of plates passing by that got me. Noooope.

Lol last time I went to Kerby Lane was maybe like five years ago and the hostess person was literally sitting criss-cross on the front counter desk area, headphones in, bare foot, and knitting. Eventually after like 10 minutes (keep in mind it was like 2 pm on a week day so they weren't busy at all, it was practically empty) she finally seated us, barefoot and holding her knitting project still lol but yea no menu's, we ended up just grabbing them ourselves and then it took like 45 min for out waiter to get our drink orders lol it was a surreal and also funny experience and haven't been back sense

Since 1997, every time I've ever been to Kirby Lane has been mediocre to bad. No idea why people would rave about it. I guess it's cool to like crap food and garbage service.

Last time I went to Kerbey, maybe 6 yrs ago, I sent back my sausage patties because they were as hard as hockey pucks. Totally inedible. I showed the waitress, bounced one off the table, and sent them back. She was annoyed. Brought fresh sausage. Not worth it. Never been back.
