View submission: Astronomy club/activities for adults?

From memory of the club's in my city's public outreach programs:-

• A schedule of public/club lectures with invited speakers (many did this monthly)
• Attend local community events that let you set up an information booth, sell science & astronomy stuff
• Scheduled sidewalk/carpark planetary astronomy at a location agreed with local community
• Occasional weekend long daytime science exploratorium events with talks demonstrations, with invited vendors (associated with science & astronomy) & other clubs having their own booths

The Key thing I've seen about public outreach is to be as inclusive as possible & publicise widely. If you are ever stuck for ideas start a dialog with other clubs & like minded organisations into the realm of collaboration & assistance.
