To any trans/intersex women on this sub. You are my sisters. You have my support and solidarity. The people who are claiming that you are a threat to me, a cis woman, do not speak for me. You are literally my family. I am married to a trans woman, and I have chosen family who are trans. They are all very afraid for their lives right now. Afraid of getting bashed by somebody in public who will call them a groomer. Afraid of losing their jobs. Afraid of losing access to life-saving hormones. EDIT: Solidarity as well to intersex women, who are also being affected by current events.
As a lesbian, I grew up hearing that gay people like myself were mentally ill perverts who needed fixing. I grew up hearing that it was disgusting to share locker rooms with someone like me. I grew up hearing that people like me should not be allowed to work with children. I grew up hearing, "I don't care what you are, just stop shoving it in my face." Now I see people gay people doing the exact same thing to trans people. I want no part of any movement that seeks to divide LGB from the T. Those people are not my community.
I will not be engaging with any antagonistic comments. I'll just block and report. I encourage you all to do the same, and to add your own words of support and encouragement to balance it out. They're coming for trans people today. Who will be the next convenient scapegoat? Gay people? People who've had abortions? Disabled people? They're already coming for immigrants.

The biggest lie that the government has spun is that trans people are groomers while ignoring the man himself who is a known groomer. They can go **** themselves. I bet a lot of Republicans are r*****.

Cis lady here also wishing trans women strength and courage during this time of institutionalized hatred. I have never stood with Trump and I never fucking will, as long as I live.

I have a trans daughter. I worry so much! She knew how I felt and how I raised her so I am glad she feels supported by family and friends. And I want everyone to feel safe and supported. Just don’t give up, stay strong, and you have a LOT of people who have your back and we are doing what we can to make things as safe as possible. Always reach out. You’ll find someone. Whoever is reading this and needs to hear this, you’re not alone.

Ciswoman here- to my trans sisters- We see you, we stand with you, and you are loved and welcome here.
Anyone who says otherwise- I pray for you to learn to accept love, faith and understanding in your heart one day.

Fully agree. Trans women are my sisters, and how an intersex person identifies themself is valid. I'm here to lift them up, not pull them down.

Thanks. I am trans and am from a rural/MAGA area. It is disgusting that there are many cis women who want trans rights completely taken away. I've heard ridiculous things such as "I don't want my granddaughter using the bathroom with a man." to "God created two genders.... " (Ummm... isn't there a verse about how a woman was made from the rib of a man?) They never want to read anything that opposes their views. Will never admit they are wrong. And most importantly, don't realize that transphobia is extremely misogynistic. The language they are using to dehumanize us is "for the protection of women". Usually coming from politicians with multiple accusations or charges involving crimes against women.

Well said! I’m proud to be a friend to trans people. I can only imagine how confusing and disorienting it would be to grow up being told you were the other gender. I have a lot of sympathy. I blatantly commit “the sin of empathy” as often as possible.

Echoing this, thank you for this post. Sending love to my intersex and trans sisters as well.
I want to protect you all. I want to protect you all physically and mentally. I wish I could, but I'm disabled and can barely move due to chronic pain sometimes. But I do what I can from home online and IRL.
All vulnerable people have to come together right now. Trans people, queer people, Jews, Muslims, BIPOC folks - particularly Black and brown folks, disabled folks, and all the intersections therein.
But if any trans or intersex woman here feels the need to talk to someone and doesn't have someone there, any of you can PM me.
Sending a hug to all of you and everyone here.

What about intersex women? There are 5 million intersex people in the US. We have been completely erased by the public, the media, and now an executive order. We exist.

I have some wonderful trans women in my life and it breaks my heart to think so many hateful people want to interfere with their right to simply exist and enjoy themselves. Much love to the trans ladies out there.

Cis woman here, calling out and speaking love to my trans sisters. My best friend and oldest niece are both transwomen, and I worry about them every day. I promise you, I will never be silent when it comes to your right to exist! You are valued and loved!

I have never felt a "threat" from any bathroom experience in my life. This includes sporting events where drunk men stumble into the ladies room. The fact that so much is made out of a non issue is mind boggling.

Hear hear!! I'm also a lesbian who has love for trans women, and will *continue* to call every transphobe and TERF on their shit, stand up for trans people in my workplace, community, and organizations I'm part of. I'm in this fight with you. Threats to one group of women are threats to all of us and I won't have anyone throwing our trans sisters under the bus.
Edit: one thing that's wild is watching the score of this comment fall as time passes. Keep crying, bigots.

Cishet woman here, just to say that I also want no part of efforts to divide cis/trans women or het/queer women from each other, as a certain author loves to do. If there was ever a time for all of us to stand together, this is it.
