View submission: What is the difference between immaturity and being a kid at heart in your eyes?
Understanding context, impact, and having emotional intelligence and consideration for others.
- *Childish/Immature** is like a particularly poorly behaved toddler. They don't think about how their actions affect others. They don't care that they are being inappropriate. They do/say hurtful or stupid things. They cause problems for their own entertainment. They need attention and they don't care or even notice that the attention they are receiving and the reactions to their behaviors are negative. If they do, they sulk, pout, and throw a tantrum about it.
- *Kid at heart** is a person who is otherwise a mature and considerate adult who enjoys being silly, playing, or being playful when it's an appropriate situation and they are with others who appreciate that kind of interaction. They are considerate and thoughtful. They are having a wonderful time, but it isn't at the expense of others in any way. They play the game because it's fun to play and not because they need other people to watch and praise them for it.
