View submission: Do you eat your 5 a day?

Definitely! Love fruit and vegetables.

It’s ‘5 a day’ in the UK because it’s what the government hoped we could achieve. More than 5 a day is recommended by doctors. In many other countries it’s 7-10 a day!

Science is telling us 30 different plants (fruit, veg, seeds, nuts, and more) a week is good too - alongside at least 5 a day.

There was a nutritionist at my local children's centre who told us this last week, the government had no hope in us eating 7-10 😂

When I was a kid I used to think “5 a day? That’s impossible!”

Now I’m cooking for myself it’s actually pretty easy. Chances are my dinner will have at least two portions of veg without even thinking about it, more if I cook a side of peas or something.

I love them too but it’s so hard to find consistently fresh fruit in the UK
