Probably because when you purée or blend fruit, you remove the fibre from it and then it becomes very sugary instead. It's why you can eat whole fruit and not have dental decay but if you turn it into a smoothie you're risking decay.

This is just not true. How would that even work? Where would the fibre go?

I think you're getting confused with juicing. Juicing leaves behind a lot of the body of the fruit which contains most of the fibre.

A blended banana has the exact same nutritional value as a whole banana both macron and micronutrients.

This is bullshit. If an average banana has 12g of (natural) sugar, if you blend it or puree it, it STILL has 12g of (natural) sugar. The fibre isn’t “removed”. This is why SW is dogshit - it’s just pure pseudoscience

You don't remove fibre by blending, or increase the amount of sugar in the fruit. However it's a lot easier to drink calories then eat them, so it takes longer to become satiated and therefore you'll likely consume more calories.

You don't remove any fibre by pureeing or blending. Fibre is removed (partially) only in juicing.

The blending does make the food more bioavailable meaning it will get digested quicker and the body will absorb more sugar and other macronutrients
