Not everyone likes to count calories.

Not everyone can simply make better food choices.

Not everyone is honest with themselves about their eating habits.

Some people need more structure.

Some people need to not weigh and measure and track everything they eat due to disordered eating or an actual eating disorder.

Some people are emotionally motivated to eat due to their childhood or trauma and the idea of eating less causes them emotional distress. So having boundaries and food swaps that are healthy means they can change their eating habits and lose weight without feeling like they are triggering their trauma.

There isn't a single approach for anything in life that works for the almost 8 billion people on the planet. Just because it doesn't work for someone doesn't mean its shit for everyone.

That’s fine, if it works for someone good for them.
