View submission: Are opticians just glorified salesman's now?
But an actual optometrist doesn’t care to sell you glasses. They’re simply there to test your eye health and tell if you need them or not

An optometrist working in a high street store or owning their own business is not necessarily incentivised to talk people out of buying unnecessary new glasses though.
