I've taken more to writing obscenities in cursive though. I work in a bleak metal fabrication shop. It's great to see someone's tired, dirty face go from brief confusion to a warm smile or even an involuntary chuckle when they see Poopy Butthole or something randomly written somewhere in pretty cursive.
I think many draw dicks for the same reason.

Have worked in the same kind of shop. Drew dicks all over that place. The one I'm most proud of was the dick I made with a grinder on a 3'x3' sheet of steel. Left it on my buddy's table, I even put his name at the top.
A close second was the one I drew with a paint marker on the bottom of another guy's igloo water jug, so every time he took a drink everyone saw this bright yellow cock rise up. Took him an hour or so to figure out why we were laughing whenever he took a drink.
