How? Men who are gay (imo) are attracted most to masculine traits( I know it's not just this and personality and such also play into attractiveness, etc). So wouldn't it mean you embody an attractive amount of masculine traits and not really challenge it but affirm it?

Because being gay is feminine and being feminine is almost as bad as being a woman.

Being seen as attractive and being masculine aren’t the same thing. Just because someone finds me attractive doesn’t automatically confirm my masculinity, it just means they like what they see. The real issue comes from how society defines masculinity. Anything that seems different from the usual idea of it can feel like a challenge, even if it logically shouldn’t.
