Yeah, as a girl I don’t understand it either. Maybe it’s because some girls, or people in gneral only hang out with each other because they look cool, then absorb each other and then it becomes a little competition within the friend group on who’s better or not, I don’t know but that’s what I’ve observed on alot of groups

Same, i only have friends who lift me up and i them. I would only ‘gossip’ about a friend if i am worried. Like the time a friend was considering taking in her drug addicter SIL and we talked about it to agree we should try to convince her not to.

As a woman, I think sometimes it’s just a matter of recognizing that not everyone is entirely good or bad. I have friends and my friend group who I don’t really like, who frequently get on my nerves, but who have been really good or supportive to our mutual friends in the past. With stuff like that, unless I think they’re actually leaving people worse off, I don’t think it’s my place to interfere with their relationship, even if I don’t like that person personally. It’s also like, if someone is someone else’s best friend, I don’t want to make them have to choose between their best friend and their other friends, especially if I’m not in a position to give them the kind of support that they had from that person.
