They're different insofar as they exist to reproduce, past that age they're more similar than different - perhaps why oldies are infantilised, so they like the kids can be ignored

The differences I perceived when I was young can mostly be attributed to how boys and girls are treated differently by their parents and society in general. There are some benefits and attributes that can be linked to sex hormones but the results are not equally distributed. For example, not all men can be heavily muscled. The one thing that I read about was the difference in immune responses. The study exposed people to cold virus and the male subjects had a faster and more intense response while female response ramped up over time. Some theories regarding reproductive advantages like the benefits of having a shorter time period feeling very unwell so men can maintain safety of the family vs woman having time to find a safe place to rest with a baby. Mancolds are real.

The women are the ones that can get away with all sorts of things that men can't get away with.
Seriously think about this, what would likely happen if a random woman were to walk up to a random man in public and kiss him on the lips (best and worst case). Now reverse the genders, and think about it again.
