This was my thinking. Dylan's 65-66 run is timeless. It didn't rely on studio innovations or anything, just crazy songwriting. So anybody into lyrics can get into it.

As much as I love Pet Sounds and Sgt Pepper, the modern music technology makes it harder to understand just how crazy it was at the time. You need a bit more context.

I don't think you're need much context for Visions of Johanna or 4th Time Around. They sound like they could be from today or 200 years ago.
