First stock I ever bought was Apple. It's done OK over the past 25 years I guess.

Bought some in 1996, though *everybody* told me not to.
I was a very-much-not-rich grad student at the time so their vehemence gave me pause. More than one person told me I'd be better off burning my money. One laughed at me because I didn't buy Iomega (remember the Zip drive?) like he did. For a while he was right, I guess.
