And get a card with rewards. I make hundreds a year in free money by using my card for everything but also paying it off in full so I never have interest charges.

This! I use my cash-back credit card for literally every purchase, pay it all off on payday (so I am never in debt), and I get enough rewards to pay my phone bill with my cash back.

Same. I just use it for expenses I would have paid off my paycheck anyway like groceries, light bill, household supplies. May as well get some money back for everyday spending. Occasionally I buy myself a treat with it but never over 100 or if I won't have the extra to pay it on payday. I too have made 100$s this way.
