View submission: Living with no Retirement money
I’m just curious (and I’m not young): was there any point in life when you thought you needed to get out of there? That you ought to migrate to another area with more opportunities? Understood that would seem like a giant leap.

Yes, we were forced to do that twice, in '16 and '19. Things were going.. "ok" until last August when my husband lost his job and hasn't been able to find work since then, it's the longest he's gone since the period between '15-'17 without work. He's going to be 65.
We're in a HCOL area with a lot more opportunities than many other places, and even though we want to move closer to family we can not only not afford it, it'd be going back to a place with fewer to no opportunities.
