It’s the first time in a while (Ello?) that I’ve used a social media so devoid of brands and commerce - where with Instagram it’s glossy catalogs as far as the scroll goes. Mastodon is mostly normal folks, some academic types, just talking. Some news outlets, but mostly just individuals talking and sharing. It’s like decaf meta.
