View submission: Why are you still on Reddit?

It's the closest thing to Usenet on the modern internet. You can curate your experience here to just hang out in the subs you're most interested in.

Usenet. Now there is a blast from the past. It's been a while since I saw references to that or BBS. I know it's still around, but without a computer slipped into the shadows of memory.

Yeah, back in the '80s and '90s I spent a lot of time in groups like alt.religion.kibology and alt.fan.lemurs. Then, things changed, and I moved to email-based discussion groups focused on my profession. No, I am retired, and find reddit the closest thing to the old days. My 30+ year old daughter recommended reddit to me from her memory of my interest in usenet, moos, and muds.
