How old were you when you became a pilot and did you already have flight training prior to making the decision to pursue that?

Im 26 and in sales, while I make good money for my age I cannot stand doing this for more than another year or two and I have the savings to pursue something with a pretty steep initial investment.

I was 40 when I got my commercial pilot rating. I flew for 18 years. I had to retire early. I developed a neurological disorder, from getting too many concussions playing 8 years of highly competitive football. I lost my medical certificate. Now I have a service dog who helps me. He can smell a chemical change in my brain, 15-30 before an event is going to happen. I loved flying. I miss it everyday. Where we live the plane turn onto their final approach to the Denver airport.
