If I might ask, you raised this issue in the earlier test. Yet presumably you didn't opt-out then. Is there a particular reason...? I don't ask to be glib, but I want to understand what might be the reason. Are the instructions unclear? Too much effort? Did you do so but it seems not to have worked? This is information that would be very useful to forward to the Admins, after all.

Maybe u/GQuesnelle did not notice that they could unsubscribe, but I still want to point out that it is likely that they are trying to provide feedback instead of just filtering it.
The periodic message you propose is the definition of spam[1], i.e. unsolicited messages sent in bulk.
