I’m looking for a prolific author, like Mircea Eliade, who has written extensively about religion and magic. I’d really appreciate any suggestions for similar academic works. Thanks!

Prolific in other topics, but Northrop Frye has some writings on religion and magic, but it tends more towards literature/religion and literature/magic. I can’t remember which books it appears in but he sprinkles it here and there. The gist is how magic depends on certain strucrtures and how poetry liberates the imaginative thought from those restrictions, but of course he is much more comprehensive and subtle than what I can relay on here. The religion side he does write about extensively though. He’s hard to summarize. He also sometimes talks about Eliade, but not much.
