And would be willing to answer some questions?

I’ve just retired my last competition horse (dressage) and will be moving to Germany soon so I was wondering what are my options with continuing to ride. I’ve competed in the UK and France up to M level (half passes and single flying changes) but I am very much an amateur. I am slightly weary of being called out in Germany for being useless, but I do want to improve and would like to ride a PSG test one day. I will be moving to Munich.

Can anyone recommend a good dressage riding school where they are serious about dressage but welcome amateurs (I have found a few yards online but not sure of the etiquette and general approach in different yards). I am toying with the idea of getting lessons for a year or two on PSG schoolmasters before buying my next horse. Will I be able to compete in Germany? I’ve had a look online and the answer seems very complex, and probably no, only on a guest license. I have a Galop 7 qualification from France but I am not sure if it is worth anything in Germany. I have tried emailing these questions about competitions to the German equestrian federation (pre covid and in German) but got no reply.

Any other information on riding in Germany would be most welcome.
